Meet the EMic XL Fitness Rated Headset Microphone, with a half-inch longer boom arm than the standard EMic for instructors who need a little extra reach.
The EMic is designed specifically for fitness instruction, with a noise-cancelling waterproof capsule, reinforced adjustable frame, steel cable and sweat protection around the connection.
The XL version gives you the same EMic design and fitness rating as the standard EMic, with an additional half-inch of boom length to help position the microphone capsule closer to the instructor’s mouth.
This version of the EMic XL is fitted with a locking 3.5mm TRS connector for compatible Trantec and Sennheiser wireless bodypack transmitters.
It also works with Rode Wireless GO/ME systems, using the same 3.5mm connection without the threaded locking collar.
If you’re unsure whether the EMic XL will work with your existing wireless system, get in touch with the make and model of your bodypack and we’ll check it for you.
EMic is designed for light-to-medium or regular studio use of up to 20 non-consecutive classes per week, roughly 2-3 classes per day.
For instructors and studios, that means a headset designed around the realities of Group Exercise: movement, sweat, repeated fitting and removal, and the demands placed on a microphone during a fitness class.
The only difference between the standard EMic and EMic XL is the longer boom arm.
The XL boom is half an inch longer, making it a useful option for instructors who find that the standard EMic doesn’t quite position the capsule close enough to the mouth.
If you don’t need the additional reach, choose the standard EMic.
After each class, wipe the headset and cable dry with paper towel, move the cable spacer so that any moisture underneath can dry, and hang the microphone to air dry.
Pay particular attention to preventing sweat and residue building up around the plug and bodypack connection.
Do not use cleaning chemicals on the headset microphone.
If you’re replacing an existing fitness headset and aren’t sure which connector you need, send us the make and model of your wireless bodypack or a clear photograph of its microphone connection.
We’ll help you identify the correct EMic version.
